How Crux connects to Dovetail — status, setup, and how it links to Research and Experience.

Keep interview insights where researchers already work, while Ask searches Dovetail live and can import Evidence into Crux.
Setup
- In Dovetail, create an API token under Settings → API.
- In Crux, open Settings → External sources and choose Dovetail.
- Ask can search Dovetail live (you'll see “Searching Dovetail…”); optionally import insights as Evidence.
How it fits
Crux keeps Research (evidence) and Experience (pages, features, content) linked. Dovetail plugs into that loop — it does not replace the tool you already use for day-to-day work in that product.
Notes
Tokens are stored encrypted and used read-only. Connections are per user.
