Organise with projects and to-dos
Structure work with projects and sub-projects, work in document tabs, track actions in To Dos with due dates and owners, and find anything with Search.
As a project grows, Crux gives you a few simple structures to keep it navigable.
Projects and sub-projects
Each initiative gets its own project in the left sidebar, with its own research and experience graphs. When one initiative contains distinct workstreams — a redesign alongside a pricing review, say — create Sub projects under the parent. Each sub-project keeps its own focus while staying grouped where it belongs. Create either with New project in the sidebar.
Work in document tabs
Opening any research item or experience entity opens it as a document tab beside the list. You can move between open tabs without losing your place, and Ask follows along — its answers reflect whichever tab you are focused on.
Track actions with To Dos
The To Dos panel in the sidebar holds your action list. Add items by hand as decisions surface, or let Ask do the drafting: when an answer implies follow-up work, the Create to-dos button materialises the actions directly from the answer. Like everything AI-generated in Crux, nothing is added until you click.
Hover a row and click the calendar icon to open Schedule & assign, where a to-do can take a due date, one or more owners, and the activities it belongs to. Click a to-do's title instead and it opens in the detail pane, where the same fields — plus labels, linked activities, and Use with Agent — all sit in one place.
Put the work in a plan
To-dos are the bottom level of a bigger structure. Plan holds milestones (the outcomes you are aiming at), the activities that deliver them, and the to-dos inside those — as an outline, a status board you drag cards across, a month calendar, and a gantt timeline. Anything with a date appears there automatically, and the Agent can draft a whole plan from a goal for you to review. See How the plan fits together.
Find anything with Search
Press ⌘K to open Search and jump to any item across the project — files, notes, highlights, experience entities, and more. It is usually faster than browsing the tabs once a project has real depth. See Search across your project for more.
